The Library of Congress uses an established call numbering system for books and all other items housed in the library. Subject themes may be found here: Call Numbers

The Library catalog's page for a book has a map function to show you where a book is located in the Library. Additionally, floor plans with call number ranges are available at the AskUs Desks and posted by the elevators.
