Non-affiliated patrons may use our computers during our business hours by obtaining a temporary user name and password from the service desk. To obtain the login and password you must provide an acceptable form of photo identification. This temporary user name and password will allow you to use our computers but not the wireless networks. You can access the TAMU_Visitor wireless network at certain locations on campus, including the Libraries.

Acceptable forms of photo identification are:

Government issued photo id card with:

  • name
  • unique number
  • address preferred but not necessary

College or University photo ID card from some colleges and universities.  ID card preferably will include:

  • name
  • unique number

NOTE:  Photo IDs must be clear and readable or you may be asked for another ID.  We will not accept a picture/photo of your identification.

Temporary IDs are valid for 30 days. They cannot be renewed, but a new login may be requested after the original period has expired. The login and password will not work remotely or on your laptop or smartphone.
