Each film or audiotrack must be converted into a digital format in real time. This means that a two hour DVD film would take two hours to capture as a digital file. The file must then be uploaded to the server and the class must be set up in mediamatrix, which may take a few more hours.
However, since staff and computer resources are limited there is often a lengthy queue of movies to be put on mediamatrix, especially early in the semester. In some cases it may take several weeks before movies are available for viewing. In certain cases we may be able to expedite the process. Please contact Bob Perez at (979)862-8040 or firstname.lastname@example.org for information on the current waiting time and other details.
