Answer

In 2014, the Texas A&M University Libraries is working with ORCID staff to create iDs for Graduate Students, Post-Docs, and select Faculty and Researchers. Graduate Students are first, and their ORCIDs will be in the campus directory and the Vireo ETD submission system in early 2014. If you are not a Graduate Student, you can wait until we have ORCID staff assign one to you, or you can set up an ORCID yourself using the form on the ORCID website. If you create your own ORCID, it will be important to make sure your ORCID account has all your TAMU email addresses (particularly the one listed in your campus directory record!) associated with it to avoid creating a duplicate ORCID by the Libraries.

For more information see the Research Guide, ORCID and Other Researcher Identifiers.
