Answer

The billing process is in stages:

  • At 30 days late - the book will be declared lost, $2 lost processing fee will be added to your account and your account will be blocked.
  • At 45 days late - the replacement cost of the book is added to your account.
  • At 60 days late - the charges will be billed to your University account.

If you return the item you before you have been billed (before 60 days) the price of the item and the $2 processing fee will be removed from your account.  

If the item is returned after your account has been billed, the price of the item will be removed but the $2 lost item processing fee will have to be paid.
