When you reserve a study seat, OAL computer or the print station at the Medical Sciences Library you must agree to the Terms & Conditions before you can submit your reservation.

Terms and conditions are slightly different for OAL computers and the Print Station. Below are the terms and conditions for seats. Difference for OAL computer and the print station are noted at the end of each section.

COVID-19 Precautions

We have extra masks available if you have lost yours. We want to keep everyone safe.

  • Masks are required and must be worn properly covering the nose and mouth.
  • A face shield is allowed with an exemption letter from Texas A&M Disability Resources or the Division of Student Affairs.
  • Failure to comply with mask requirements will result in a loss of reservation privileges.
  • Failure to comply with mask requirements will be reported to the Student Conduct Office.
  • Due to mask requirements, no food or drink is allowed in the study area.
  • This is an individual study area only. Group study is not allowed.
  • You may only occupy the space you have reserved.
  • Do not move or reconfigure the furniture.
  • You may leave the study area for 15 minutes to use the restroom or the food court area.
  • The food court area is NOT an alternate study location.
  • If you are away longer than 15 minutes your reservation will be canceled and your items will be held at the AskUs Desk.
  • Cleaning of the desk area is the responsibility of the person who reserves the seat/table.
  • Spray bottles of cleaner and paper towels are available for your use.

OAL computer and print station cleaning instructions:

  • Cleaning of the desk area, keyboard, and mouse is the responsibility of the person who reserves the seat.
  • Spray bottles of cleaner and paper towels are available for your use.
  • Do NOT spray the computer keyboard directly. Spray cleaner on a paper towel and wipe the keyboard.
  • Do NOT use cleaner on the monitor screen.

Reservation Policies

  • Reservations are for the reserved seat and table only.
  • Seats may be reserved up to 3 days in advance.
  • Online reservations must be made 2 hours prior to reservation start time.
  • Seat/table reservations will be held for 15 minutes past the reservation time.
  • Please cancel reservations before your reservation time either online or by phone (979-845-7428).
  • You may cancel up to 15 minutes after your reservation online or by phone (979-845-7428) and not be penalized.
  • If you are more than 15 minutes late your reservations will be canceled and you will be considered a no show.
  • Two no-show incidents will result in a loss of reservation privileges for the rest of the semester.

Reservation differences for the print station:

  • Print station reservations will only be held for 5 minutes past the reservation time.
  • You may cancel up to 5 minutes after your reservation online or by phone (979-845-7428) and not be penalized.
  • If you are more than 5 minutes late your reservations will be canceled and you will be considered a no show.
