Answer

Yes. You are responsible for all borrowed materials from the time they are checked out to you until they have been returned to and received by the Get It For Me service unit. If damage or loss occurs, you will be responsible for any fees the lending library charges.

When we receive a late fee or replacement invoice for a lost or damaged Interlibrary Loan item, the late fee or replacement invoice amount will be added to your TAMU Library circulation system account. While this balance remains outstanding, you will not be able to check out any TAMU Library items (books, reserve/reference items, laptops, media equipment, DVDs, etc.), nor use the Get It For Me service.

If the late fee or replacement invoice remains unpaid for 5 weeks, a hold will be placed on your university (Howdy) account. You will not be able to register for classes, receive grades, or request transcripts. This hold can only be removed when the fees are paid in full.
