Answer

If the book is not on the shelf you may:

1.   Place a locate for the book using the search for item missing from the shelves form.  Once a locate is received it is searched for 2 business days in a row. If the book is found on the first or second search you will receive and email saying the book is "on hold" for you.  If the book is not found after the second search you will receive an email suggesting you request the item through the Get It for Me Service,

Or

2.   Place a request through the Get it For Me Service.  They will search for the copy of our book for 2 business days and if they do not find it you will receive an email asking if you would like us to try to borrow from another library.

One other method you might try is to approach the Ask Us Desk and ask a staff member for assistance in possibly finding the item in reshelving locations.
