Answer

If you are having problems accessing the electronic resources try the following:

  • Access the resource from the Library website.
  • Try clearing your cache and closing your browser. Then reopen your browser and try again. You may also try a different browser.
  • If that does not work and you are off campus, go to the Firewall Testing at the bottom of the Tech Troubleshooting page and try the links in the EZProxy Testing section. Accessing the library’s resources requires having certain network ports open. If these ports are closed it usually results in a timed out error or failure to connect error before getting to the CAS login prompt. If you time out on these links then the ports are being blocked on your end and you will need to either change the configuration of your firewall, contact your Internet Service Provider or your company's network administrator to get the ports open.
  • If you continue to have problems, report the problem via chat, phone (979-845-3731) or email .

Note: Remote access to our electronic resources is restricted to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff.  Former Students and Community users do not have access to these resources at home but can come to campus for a guest user access password to use resources in the library.
