Answer

Yes, the Library buildings are open to the public. Our catalog is freely searchable online at catalog.library.tamu.edu.

Non-affiliated users can access most of the Library's electronic resources in-building by either connecting to one of our wireless networks or requesting a guest logon for the Library computers. For remote access to resources we do provide an open access search portal, OAK Search. If you are a member of a participating Texas public library, you can also try the TexShare Databases.

Non-affiliated patrons may also check out materials on a limited basis. You will either need a TexShare card from another participating library or a Community User card. Evans Front Desk staff can help you get a Community User card if you don't already have one.

Desk staff will be happy to help if you have any questions regarding the application or payment processes.
